While we get one last week of our Indian summer, I am tentatively hanging on to my sliders and flip flops, just a little longer.
But you don’t need me to tell you that it is almost time for the seasonal switch over and time for the boots to come out
There’s something so lovely and comforting about that feeling of getting the chunk boots and tights on. A moment to banish the fake tan to the back of the bathroom cabinet for a while!
Your winter boots are probably one of your key investment pieces for the winter months. If you live in the UK it is the longest of our seasons and we need to be prepared to love what we wear this season.
From a sustainability perspective, it is also worth considering the quality of the product you buy so that you can bring them out year on year.
Chunka love
If you are in for the chunky look, which I am, not always, but for some casual looks, this brand is an incredible danish provider of the buttery-set leather! I bought a version of these about 4 years ago and they are my most worn boots ever. They are incredibly comfortable, look great with dresses, skirts and jeans for a super casual, grungy look

Don’t default to black!
Green suede boots are an example of the very many western style boots around. I have purchased a similar pair and I love them with shorts, and short skirts. It will look fabulous with your dresses too
Don’t get stuck in a BLACK rut! Your boots don’t have to be black to go with everything and it can be so incredibly samey. This soft green one is a beautiful neutral and will add something different to your wardrobe

Get your motor running!
Distressed biker boot, with its statement buckle has been around for a while and going nowhere. If you have an urban casual style personality this will look great with leather, knits and tweeds.

Splurge or Investment?
Look at this classic Tom Ford knee high heeled boot in beautiful Italian leather. The gold hardware on the side adds a touch of glamour. If you invest in something like this it will be with your forever.

Or this beautiful ankle boot from Christian Louboutin is another splurge/investment, depending on how you see it! I want to show you this, it may be outside of your budget ( as it is mine) but there will be cheaper alternatives around

High street heaven
These caramel knee high beauties haven’t even launched yet, a high street option that wont break the bank. I love this caramel colour that will go with all the taupes and burgundy that are in the shops and will look fabulous with your animal print pieces too!
